Bistro 2210

After taking quite a long break from my blog, I’m back with more recipes and reviews! This one is about a nice little restaurant on 4th Street SW called Bistro 2210. Just a few doors away from Aida’s, Bistro 2210 has only a few tables so if you have a bigger party, reservations are recommended. The restaurant also allows you to bring your own wine (for a corkage fee of $20/ bottle), which may be worth for bigger parties. All in all, this is a place where I’d take my out-of-town friends or colleagues for a relaxing and informal night out.

The food was very good and we enjoyed everything that was brought to our table. You can get the moules frites (mussels, $16)  either as an appetizer or as a main course, as they come with a nice portion of french fries. The pan-seared salmon ($24), the steak frites bavette (beef steak, $23)  and the pork ($27) were all delicious and came with a variety of interesting sides. All our dishes were appealing not only for the palate but also for the eye, which I think makes the whole experience of dining out memorable. I was unable to resist the creme brulee ($9) and I warmly suggest leaving some room for dessert…
